To the question on the radical revision of rules for the railway оperation in the Russian Empire (end of the XІX century)
Abstract
In the article an insufficiently studied problem – the process of the radical revision of rules for the railway operation in the Russian Empire at the end of the XІX-th century – is highlighted. The author notes that by 1883 the regulations for railways in Russian had become obsolete.
Their revision in the epoch of railway technologies modernization resulted in an active discussion in scientific and technical literature of that time. This article analyzes the works by S.Vitte, O.Radtsyh, І.Rikhter, M.Veber as well as «General Regulations for the Russian railways». It was these works that directed problem of safe railway operation to the proper way.
